Top 10 Tuesday: The Best Hits From The 2016-2017 Season

DL Hockey | Hoser Hockey Co.

I think it's safe to say we are all Ben Eager to get this season underway, so what better way than to ring in the new year with guys getting their bells rang.

10. King Connor Lowering The Boom On Sorensen

Known for his speed. Known for his hands. Known for his hitting? Yes, Connor Mac can play the whole game. That is why he will be battling Crosby for top honors in the NHL for a couple years at least.

9. Anaheim Getting Some Blue Paint On The Walls

Dump. Chase. Steamroll Joel Edmundson. Seems like Chris Wagner had this one planned out for weeks as he sept Joel off his feet like a Dinsey princess.

8. Russian Crash Test Dummy Meets Beantown Trolley

We're still trying to figure who is hurt worse from this; Alexander Burmistrov from getting stood up by Colin Miller, or everyone listening to Jack Edwards commentate a B's game.

7. Orpik The Hall Monitor

Just look at this still that leads into the video. Orpik crumpled Hallsy. Not like it's a scarcity though. Orpik is known for his hits and his uncanny resemblance to the dramatic chipmunk

6. Kids In The Hall

He obviously has heard the old adage, 'It's better to give than receive,' cause Taylor Hall happens to be on the other end of this hit on Philip Larsen.

5. Lucic: Skates Like Cement And Hits Like It Too

Well, he wasn't brought to Edmonton for his skating prowess. Actually, we're not sure why he was brought there. I'm mean...it's a great hit, but a $42M hit? Naw. Auston Watson may think so, though.

4. Emelin With The Hip Clinic On Colborne

This is the hardest of all hits to deliver, and why not get some practice. I mean, you're already smoking the most terrible team in decades. After his career is over, Alexei Emelin needs to start a hip check clinic. We suggest Joe Colborne attend.

3. Welcome To The Show Patrik

What's the first thing you're taught when you start playing hockey? Keep your head up! Maybe Patrik Laine has learned this after Jake McCabe met him at the Trolley Tracks

2. The Only Highlight Of The Year In Favor Of The Avs

Apparently, the Jets have issues with keeping their heads up while skating in the neutral zone. Watch  Nikita Zadorov nearly decapitate  Mark Scheifele with the Avs only highlight of the year.

1. The Russian Catapult That Caused An Avalanche

If the NHL doesn't work out for Matt Duchene, he may want to consider gymnastics after this flip! Well, he'd have to team up with Russian partner Dmitry Orlov for the added height.
